This policy covers the current GoodJar iOS app. It requires no account, operates no developer-hosted journal database, and uses no advertising, analytics or tracking service. The app does not upload your notes, photos, drafts or letters to the developer or a third-party AI service.

Note text, selected photos, drafts, letters and app settings are stored in the app container on your current device for recording, drawing and revisiting moments. When you add a photo, the system photo picker or relevant system selection UI provides the image you choose; the app does not scan your whole photo library. You can keep writing without a photo.

You control retention: delete a record or letter inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove its local data from that device. Copies you previously shared, exported or saved elsewhere must be deleted separately.

Local storage does not prevent operating-system backups. If you enable iCloud Backup, computer backups or device migration, the system may back up or restore the app container according to your settings. Apple or your system tools manage those backups; the developer cannot read or delete them for you. Deleting a local record or uninstalling the app may not remove an existing backup. Check your backup and migration settings if you need to remove those copies too.

Only after you select notes and explicitly consent does the app pass their text and dates to the system on-device Foundation Models model. Session auto-reply also requires you to turn it on and can be turned off at any time. Photos are not read by the model. The app does not send this text to the developer or a third-party AI service. Letters and original notes are stored separately on your device.

Availability depends on a compatible device, iOS 26 or later, region, language, Apple Intelligence settings and model readiness. If unavailable, the app does not fabricate an AI reply.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. When you visit it, the hosting service processes your IP address and routine request information to deliver the pages under its service policies. This site includes no advertising or analytics tracking script. If you voluntarily email support, the address, description or attachments you provide are used to address that request; please avoid sending unnecessary journal entries or photos. Your own email provider handles the sending process.

If you use system sharing to send content to another app, its handling is governed by the app you choose and its policies.

Apple StoreKit handles monthly and annual GoodJar Plus subscriptions. The app checks transactions and subscription access on the device; it does not receive your payment-card or billing details and requires no developer account. Apple handles account, transaction and payment data under its terms. Actual product prices and periods are shown before purchase; purchases are disabled while the model is unavailable. Restore purchases in the app and manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings.

For privacy questions or a request to delete support correspondence, email thecapydoc@gmail.com. The developer cannot remotely access or delete the journal on your device; use the in-app deletion controls and system settings. Policy changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
